Narrative Description of Project: The objectives of the design were as follows:
- To establish the number of fire stations required now and in the future.
- To establish the facilities and personnel required in the modern fire station for the ultimate phase (taken as 20 years) to achieve 100% availability of fire services.
- To establish the O & M equipment required in the modern fire station to achieve 100% availability of fire services.
- To establish the structures required in a modern fire station.
- To establish the layout and location of modern fire station.
- To establish the architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and ICT designs for the modern fire station.
- To prepare tender and contract document for modern fire station.
- To establish the cost of establishing a modern fire station.
- To establish the O & M costs
Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff: The consultants identified and designed a model fire station including services and associated infrastructure required to ensure optimal capacity for selected urban areas within the Nairobi Metropolitan Region
