Narrative Description of Project: The MTR focused on assessing the project’s compliance with the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) procedures proposed in the ESMF document developed at the project onset. It also assessed the adequacy of the institutional arrangements and structures in place for the implementation of the ESMF and the occurrence and potential for cumulative impacts of the project activities funded by the World Bank
Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff: Log Associates carried out the review of project technical reports, legal documents and international conventions. The scope of the project was the assessment of overall implementation performance of the project ESMF. We carried out an assessment of the major environmental non-compliance and proposed corrective actions for the same. We also assessed the adequacy of the institutional arrangements and structures in place for the implementation of the ESMF.
