Detailed Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for the 428 km for Loyangalani- Suswa 400kV Transmission line

Narrative Description of Project: The objective of Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) was to provide a plan for resettlement and rehabilitation of the Project Affected Persons (PAPs) so that their losses would be adequately compensated and their standard of living improved or at least restored to the pre-project status

Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff: We carried out a detailed survey on the actual number of people to be affected by the proposed line. The scope of this assignment was to do a detailed description of valuation methodologies, type and nature of compensation, the preferred method of valuation and the justification for the choice of this method, compensation framework including the legal framework, country laws and regulations. Other tasks include detailed valuation of the amount of land and structures to be affected by the project. At the end of the project, we prepared an inventory of losses and detailed Entitlement Matrix that will be used for compensation.
